As you step through the doors the excitement builds. The months of planning have come together beautifully. Every detail feels just right, the space perfectly set for the celebration ahead. The Barn at Botley Hill team are there to greet you, making sure everything runs seamlessly so you can take a deep breath, soak it all in, and simply enjoy the start of your day.
GETTING READY
The Hayloft, a calm space filled with quiet excitement.
Tucked high within the Oakley Barn, the Hayloft is a light-filled, private space designed for those special moments before the ceremony; sharing laughter, final touches, and a glass of something sparkling with your closest loved ones.
The Baby Barn is also a favourite spot for the groom’s party to pin buttonholes and perfect their look before guests arrive.
If you’d like a little more room to spread out in the morning, our team are always happy to recommend nearby options for getting ready.
The Ceremony
Setting the scene for the perfect day.
The Oakley Barn is full of character and charm. A beautiful space for your ceremony, where rustic textures meet soft light. The unique balcony offers flexibility: it can serve as a striking aisle entrance or the perfect perch for musicians to play as the wedding party makes their way down the aisle below.
On a summer’s day, many couples choose to exchange vows in the gardens beneath the shade of the old maple tree, surrounded by sweeping views of the South Downs. A moment you’ll remember forever.
Drinks & Canapés
Confetti settles. Celebration fills the air.
As the ceremony finishes, guests gather in the Baby Barn for drinks and canapés and celebration begins in earnest. Laughter, hugs, and that first celebratory clink of glasses marking the start of the festivities.
Whatever the season, the rolling Surrey Hills make a breathtaking backdrop for your photographs, whether from the landscaped gardens, wrap-around decking, or Baby Barn.
The natural beauty of the surroundings pairs perfectly with the venue's contemporary architecture, creating an effortless balance of countryside charm and modern elegance. The perfect setting for the stories, smiles, and toasts that follow.

Golden hour at The Barn at Botley Hill is something truly special, a moment that never fails to take guests’ breath away.
After the meal, the energy begins to lift once more. Guests spill out onto the decking for cocktails, tea and coffee are served in the Baby Barn. A saxophonist or acoustic set sets the tone as everyone soaks up the view, and you steal a quiet moment together for golden hour photos.
As the light fades and the evening guests arrive, the cake is cut, the music swells, and it's almost time for the first dance.
The Evening
Music, dancing and lifelong memories.
As the lights turn low and the music begins, you step onto the dance floor for your first dance. It’s a moment that feels entirely yours, while surrounded by family and friends, one you’ll remember every time the song plays in years to come.
As the evening unfolds, ties loosen, heels come off, and the dance floor fills. Guests enjoy drinks and late-night bites while the DJ or live band keeps the rhythm alive.
