It’s very exciting to see our vision for The Barn at Botley Hill become reality, so we were delighted to be involved in a wedding photo shoot recently.

Our beautiful bride and her gorgeous groom posed in glorious sunshine, and after the summer drought, the usually green valley that sweeps away from Botley Hill had turned a fetching shade of pale gold. That’s one of the amazing features of our location – we are surrounded by nature which provides a changing and ravishing backdrop … from lambs playing in the fields whilst the ewes munch on the sweet spring pastures to spectacular summer sunsets and the rich hues of autumn.

The shoot, which was organised by the amazing team at Bluebird Creative, the style-led wedding planners, was skillfully captured by photographer Jess Grace. The talented team also included make-up artist Melissa Oldridge, who created a fresh, natural look for the bride and award-winning hairdresser Sharon Roberts, while the lovely flowers came Alison at Mad Lilies.

Seeing the bride and groom strolling hand in hand in the sunshine and posing around the historic site made us feel quite emotional – we can’t wait to welcome more couples as the story of The Barn unfolds.
