Spring Wedding Open Day at The Barn at Botley Hill

On a crisp, foggy Sunday in early March, we hosted our Spring Wedding Open Day at The Barn at Botley Hill, our contemporary barn venue in the Surrey Hills, just outside London.

We opened the venue’s doors to couples getting married with us over the next couple of years, giving them the chance to return with family and friends. We also enjoyed meeting newly engaged couples still searching for their perfect venue.

The day was relaxed and informal. A chance for guests to explore the barns at their own pace, and chat with our team and local wedding professionals.

To help bring the venue to life, we invited a small group of our trusted suppliers. They each brought fresh ideas, creativity and inspiration for couples planning their celebrations.

Inspiration in the Main Barn

To showcase the Main Barn Jimmy Garcia Catering teamed up with leading florist Mad Lilies. Together they created beautiful spring-inspired table displays. Mad Lilies filled the space with fresh seasonal flowers, while the Jimmy Garcia presented elegant table settings and décor. Together, they showed how effortlessly The Barn at Botley Hill works with a wide range of styles and colour palettes.
Finishing touches were added by talented KR Creatives with their elegant stationery, completing the look.
Guests enjoyed delicious canapés, a tempting dessert station and a preview of dishes from our soon‑to‑launch Fire Kitchen. It was a great chance to sample the food and get a feel for the creativity our catering partners bring to each event.

Ceremony Inspiration in the Oakley Barn

Meanwhile, in the Oakley Barn, Boujee Music played from the balcony, creating a beautiful ceremony atmosphere. Local florist Emma Phoenix Flowers dressed the fireplace with soft spring blooms and candles, the most romantic setting.
Couples spoke with India Bel about celebrant‑led ceremonies and how to create something personal and meaningful. Our local registrar team were on hand too, answering questions about civil ceremonies.
As India always says, the ceremony should never be the boring bit.

Music, Food and Entertainment

Meanwhile, music continued throughout the venue. Becka Blanchard performed in the Baby Barn, her voice often provides the perfect backdrop for ceremonies and drinks receptions. In the Main Barn, The Wedding DJ Company showcased how they keep the dance floor full all evening.
The bar was open all afternoon, giving couples the chance to chat through drinks options and sample some of our wines, the local Titsey beers and cocktails.
Outside, Venti Pizza served slices of their Neapolitan‑style wood‑fired pizza from their converted horse‑box trailer, always a popular choice for evening food.

Local Suppliers

A fantastic group of local wedding professionals joined us to offer insights and inspiration.
Joe Burford, Teddy Pig, Kelly Mac Content Creation and Elegance Films shared photos and films from past weddings at The Barn (the team loved reminiscing).
Anna Lewis Cakes displayed a selection of beautiful cake designs.
All Paws Weddings talked about their dog‑chaperone services (and shared photos of some of our favourite canine guests).
Flora Bridge, a past Botley bride, showcased her stunning jewellery collection which is popular with brides.
Guests enjoyed lawn games with Wedding Mini Golf and step inside the vintage camper photo booth from Buttercup Bus, which is always a team favourite way to end the day.
It was a lovely afternoon and a joy to see so many couples, families and friends enjoying the venue together.
Finally, a huge thank you to all the wonderful suppliers who helped make the day such a success.
We look forward to welcoming many of you back to celebrate your weddings here and seeing all these ideas come to life
